The surface of good master roll should have perfect flatness and smoothness. A poor flatness of master roll will affect the printing quality, the matser roll will tilt and cause a lot of dot when you print on the paper.

Duplicator master roll is made of cotton paper and film. Cotton paper can have fiber shedding problem easily when the machine is doing master-making.

The fiber will damage the printhead, drum unit, even the rubber spare parts,. Then all of these will cause printing problem. So a good duplicator master roll should

not have fiber shedding problem.
